Teams

FOR TEAMS

I facilitate teams' relational processes by working through conflicts and achieving a greater sense of connection and alignment. We work with the Gestalt therapy principles for holistic wellbeing. The ultimate goal of the sessions of a Gestalt mediated group is the achievement of awareness of a team meber's own internal and interpersonal dynamics and with the expression, in a protected environment, of feelings and emotions; it is a creative experience that underlies a series of agreements, explicitly agreed, regarding the aims of the group and the rights and responsibilities of those who take part in it. ​ Each participant has the opportunity, if they wish, to carry out their own individual work within the group; during this exploratory work the person is supported by the therapist and can make use of the collaboration of the other members who, if they want, can accept upon request to contribute to the work. The group is always a protected environment in which to experience various stimuli and responses. The group is therefore seen as a sounding board to amplify sensation, emotions, experiences. All therapy tools are enhanced and strengthened by the presence of a group. ​ Each member is free to choose what contribution to make to the group session, whether or not to work in person, and whether or not to participate in the work of others. It is important that the work on emotions takes place without forcing, so as to respect each member's timing with cognitive and emotional processes. ​ The components of the work we do in groups can be summarized in the following themes:​ AWARENESS dropping in the present to feel into what is really there AMPLIFICATION of gestures or sentences to transform certain unconscious behaviors into conscious choices REPRESENTATION giving life to internal dynamics by using objects or the help of other members OPPOSITE POLARITIES we give voice to what coexist inside of us, in order to understand where we really stand in a context DRAMATIZATION immersing oneself completely into a symptom, gesture, feeling, part of you or person in one's life RUNNING RISKS we assume the responsibility of making mistakes and running risks in our personal development process

JOIN A COUNSELLING GROUP

I evaluate interested people's fit to the group during a few individual sessions and I suggest a date for the counselling group's start. The group can have different and diverse reasons to come into existence and seek counselling. It can be that the participants have a personal issue or theme in common that they're trying to work through, or that they have opposite personalities and can therefore benefit from an equilibrium of perspectives in the field. Groups usually work together for 4 or more months, depending on the nature of the work. The ultimate goal of the sessions of a Gestalt mediated group is the achievement of awareness of one's own internal and interpersonal dynamics and with the expression, in a protected environment, of feelings and emotions; it is a creative experience that underlies a series of agreements, explicitly agreed, regarding the aims of the group and the rights and responsibilities of those who take part in it.

 YOGA

Yoga

My journey to yoga was a very personal one. As soon as I started practicing, I started noticing the space that I was creating in my body and in my mind. This new space allowed me greater freedom in movement and in emotional reactivity, giving me the gift of perspective and ultimately inner peace. From then on, I continued practicing many forms of yoga as a way to connect to the calmness and wisdom within. ​ Today my favorite way to offer yoga is by allowing people to rest deeply, while cleansing and nourishing their bodies. I offer restorative and yin classes, and I include my own personal somatic experiences of vipassana meditation and embodiment practices. All classes are inclusive of all body types and levels of practice, as well tailored to people suffering from various mental health issues (most commonly anxiety, burn out and depression). My classes invite gentle exploration of the signals of the body as a gateway into our emotions, as well as exploration of our intuitive mind as a way into deeper knowing. ​ I was trained as a teacher in Hatha yoga, Yin and Acupressure, and I taught in co-working spaces, offices and studios in Amsterdam as well as retreat centers (see my About page for more).

MASSAGE

Massage

We spend our entire lives keeping certain emotions under control, and we use our body to do it. In so doing we put our bodies through tremendous amounts of tension to keep it all under wraps. The tension, in some cases, can become chronic and result into an inability to feel certain parts of ourselves, or into extreme fatigue, psychosomatic complaints or emotional tightness. We might be reinforcing certain patterns that hold us into an unconscious repetition of the same forms of suffering, and we might benefit enormously by a healing hand that taps into our inner resources for wellbeing. ​ Massage and bodywork help loosen the grip that unconscious patterns of behavior have on our body, thus freeing up the mind, emotions, and spirit, and allowing greater awareness to choose the ways we respond to life events. ​ Bodywork is individually tailored to each person's needs, and may incorporate any of the following: ​ Craniosacral informed touch Thai Yoga Massage Deep Tissue Oil Massage Yoga Therapy Mindfulness and somatic experiencing
